Birmingham Open Air Schools - Cropwood, Hunter's Hill, Marsh Hill and Skilts (excl. Haseley Hall and Uffculme)

I went to Hunters Hill across the road from you Wendy, though I left there a year before you started at Cropwood. We used to have some lovely times when the girls used to come over to us for film & dance nights. Some of our teachers were not nice, though our headmistress, Miss Buckley was an...

I know the feeling Richard. I suddenly got in touch with my sister, only 3 years ago. My dad would not talk about her, & after 62 years of never meeting her, I discovered a few of his secrets. This is one thing I would never do. I always tell youngsters about my early years in life & who my...

    Park Lane...Aston

My dad lived with his parents in Park lane, almost opposite the Shareholders pub, worked at hercules & benton & stones when we lived in Bracebridge street. Though I was very young, I remember going to a Christmas party at Enots. Had a really great time.

Thank you for sharing this map. It clearly shows exactly where my grand parents lived (just across the road from the Shareholders pub). I lived just around the corner from them in Potters Lane, just up from the Barton's Arms.

    Old street pics..

Hello Tim. One of the great things about model building, whether it be Maccano or like I am doing at the moment, it does not matter about having engineering skills, as I think quite anybody could create masterpieces, though it may take a little longer. They are great passtimes to have. Building...

Birmingham Open Air Schools - Cropwood, Hunter's Hill, Marsh Hill and Skilts (excl. Haseley Hall and Uffculme)

I know the feeling btomo. I was exactly the same. Hated being there at first, but after spending much time talking with Miss Buckley in her office, I soon began to start liking it, though some of the teachers tried to stop that (bullying).
