    Bracebridge Street

Hello Sandhu. The whole street was full of lovely houses, & a few shops too. It was sad to see everything being demolished to make way for aston expressway. I loved my time living in bracebridge street, as well as other streets in aston.

    Cafes in and around Birmingham

Mike. I know which cafe in question, but I can not remember either. I used to have sandwiches from there when I worked down electric avenue in 1969. I was a trainee welder making tables & chairs for schools just after leaving school.

    Digbeth Cafe

That is how I vaguely remember him. Only saw him a couple of times but had the impression that he was a decent person, hence the reason why I always went to the lorica. I was always made to feel welcome, unlike a few places I care not to mention. When I heard about the nightclub, I assumed the...

    The daddy long legs club

Laurie knowledgeable brummie has reminded me that the club was dolls before daddy long legs. What it was before dolls, I just do not know. This has taken me back to my teens.(such a long time ago).

    The daddy long legs club

I heard there was another room, but never asked about it. I was only just 18 & a bit too laid back. Never knew what it was called before daddy long legs as I was new to clubbing.

    The daddy long legs club

I used to work for ICC when I worked at Carrefour at minworth, & castle bromwich car plant. The daddy long legs club was the first club I had ever been to, so sat in a dark corner with my drink for most of the night. Had many happy times there.

    The daddy long legs club

I remember the daddy long legs club that later became dolls. Had many good times in there, but was never any trouble when I was there. I used to just sit in a dark corner most of the night when I first went.

From what I can recall, they had a large area on the 5th floor which was near the toys section. From what I remember, they used to have santa's grotto near to it at christmas.
