    I have found out quite a bit about Mary Isabella. She married Patrick quite late in life. She was a teacher and ended up teaching at the Catholic school in Stratford. Her elder sister and niece also lived in Stratford in Payton street where they ran a boarding house. Isabella was on the 1911...

    My Great uncle Patrick Murphy, was married to a Mary Isabella Busst. Her father was Benjamin. He was a whipmaker from Birmingham. They are both buried in St Gregory 's churchyard in Stratford upon Avon. Busst is an unusual name is there any connection with your family?

    I always send corrections if there are transcription errors. It is always important to double check with the original documents never just rely on the transcription. If document difficult to read try magnifying it.

    The gentleman's toilet looks very similar to the one still in use in Ely St Stratford-Upon-Avon. Flowers was a Stratford Brewery. The High St could easily be Stratford's.

    I have just seen that Sutton Coldfield Police Station is up for sale on Rightmove. Huge station with custody suites, cells etc. Not sure when it was built, 60s? Selling price on application! It is on BBC news website.

    It was the paper round that started me off, but I didn't like it so as soon as I was 14 Sent to the local hairdressers. Missed 2 other jobs off, dental and opticians receptionist. Hated the dentists! Only lasted a week or two.
