Short history of Cadbury’s production

During the 60’s,70’s, and early 80’s the whole area around the Market, was a thriving shopping environment. Allied Carpets opposite Bloomers, a supermarket , Comet electrical. Indian restaurant I was there a few weeks ago it had changed a lot, very dismal and litter everywhere .

Was it the Timberley or Shard End?,

The Swan indoor market adjacent the Tivoli Centre, with the flats Bakeman House, happy memories of this area for me and my mates.

Yes, the Rag and Bone man, at one time every area in Birmingham had one, from a hand cart, horse and cart, or van. The currency used to be balloons or gold fish in a plastic bag.
