WARNER BROTHERS OFFICES were there when I was about ten or eleven years old in 1951. The PARAMOUNT office was on Bennetts Hill. Both were just Distribution offices, although as a ten year old I was happy to be near some of my film star heroes.....or so I believed.

Hi! I went to Beeches Road School, and remember these buses well. I walked to school though, from Calshot Road, along Turnberry Road and then past the shop up to the school. The head master was Mr. Waterton. That was in the early 1940's.

I worked in Barrows in Birmingham, in the Greengrocery department. That would be in the late fifties, when I had just left school. We used to have a lady come in from Streetly, when we would find her a chair, and she would order her delivery. "A qtr of tomatoes, half a cucumber, a small lettuce...

Such a sad end to a lovely old vehicle.....

Hi mate. The Destination Blinds had indications on them, so it was easier to find the correct one. These are for the National buses. For example: 24A and 24B, these were the FROM City and TO City destinations, next to each other. Hope this helps. Gerry.
