    Williams John & Fanny

Just came across this quote from some twelve months ago. I have since "convinced" myself that this probably not my ggfather. There is another death of a John Williams in Birmingham in 1950 age 88 which almost fits his dob of 1864. (Married 1886 age 22). Is this reasonable slippage? By this time...

    Zero Emission Buses

Trolley Buses? Perhaps the metro will come into it's own when "driverless " tech arrives.

    Moseley Kings Heath Line

There is some chat on social media that trains on this Moseley/Kings Heath line will only "shuttle" between New St and Kings Norton ie no direct links towards onward stations towards Redditch/Bromsgrove etc.

    Zero Emission Buses

I know I've said it before but this really does make the metro tram obsolete. Imagine not having those seemingly endless roadworks.

    Commercial vans.

Wasn't there a Gittins's garage on Warwick Rd. at Tyseley opposite the Britannia ? Later became Collier's.

Initial driving lessons were in a "J" Type. A Scribban's Bread van around Tile Cross in around 1958.

    Moseley Kings Heath Line

Interesting to see where the Camp Hill line, or is it South Birmingham line interfaces with the non-train world, a couple of points in Stirchley are the bridges over "The Worthings" and the bridge formed by the top of the hill in Fordhouse Lane. Is it also the line at the back of the railway...

    Moseley Kings Heath Line

There was the occasional single deck tram along here until mid 50's. The tracks were removed around 1956. All viewed from the classroom window.

Scene of some of Brum's last trams as many were diverted here to the depot just to the right.

    The Swan Yardley

Motor cyclist appears to have a flat hat ie no crash helmet. Did the Swan have traffic lights at some stage? Went past there to school 56-58 then to work until around 1970. The bay window, to the right of the Ford Thames van was the "snug" great room for a quiet drink! Thanks for the memories.
