    Bull Street

Hi Viv:It was always amazing to see all the different types of fish laid out on those slabs in the Mac Fisheries shops. If you went by late in the day when they were preparing to close you could witness the assistants cleaning up using hose pipes and scrubbing brushes. The water ran out into...

Hi Carolina: I have the booklet "The Story of Erdington" by D.V. Jones with this picture in it. There was, quite a while ago, a discussion online about where these lanes actually were. You can read it here: https://archiver.rootsweb.ancestry.com/th/read/GENBRIT/2008-04/1207046449. Terry...

Erdington National School High Street Erdington 1813

Hi Suze: The Roebuck shown in the photo is the second one in that spot at that time. It was rebuilt later on, an awful faceless building really. Finally, it was renamed The Hairy Lemon which was shut down last year.

Erdington National School High Street Erdington 1813

Hi Suze: I have always found it rather strange that there were no photos around of the National School in Erdington High Street. The school was part of the High Street for so long. Years ago I contacted the Erdington Library and they kindly sent me the two photos that they had. We weren't sure...

I went to the Rainbow Casino back in the early 1960's. I have a photo I took four years ago when I was around that way. Harry, must have been Harry Morrall cited in this Birmingham Mail story. https://www.birminghammail.co.uk/news/local-news/city-nightclub-legend-morrall-dies-41238
