That just proves that the dob of the William Johnson son of Nehemiah is not the same as that given on the RAF records of the William Johnson husband of Agnes Louisa, which we already knew. Assuming that there is no mistake then the William son of Nehemiah is not your William Johnson. And at...

You were probably talking about the birth certificate for William Johnson mmn Brown, not the marriage of his parents. However, we already know his birth date from his baptism which is on Ancestry. So his birth certificate would still be a waste of money.

Stop! The Johnson/Brown marriage is irrelevant until you know who William's father is. You need William Johnson's marriage to Agnes Louisa Moore from 1900.

No that's a William Bayliss. William Johnson & Agnes Louisa Moore married in 1900.

There's nothing wrong with the 1911 census. Ada was the daughter of William Johnson and Agnes Louisa Moore. It's from William to his father. The marriage certificate for William and Agnes is probably needed in this case to be sure. Johnson is just too common to be completely certain.

This video gives a good view of the sheer scale of the Curzon St construction. And on a side note photos/videos from drones are pretty amazing/

Not to throw a spanner in the works but how certain is it that Nehemiah was William's father? On the 1911 census William lists the streets where all his family were born and for William himself it was Clifton Road, Aston. Nehemiah's son William's birth was registered in Bham not Aston which in...

Balsall Heath Property - Does Anyone Have Any Info Or Pics, Please?

It appears to be listed as 92 Edgbaston Road on the 1953 map. The first person I can see on the ERs listed for it is a George Harrison in 1912. He was an ex Licensed Victualler (Swan Inn, Loxton St in 1881) by then listed as Living on his Own Means in 1911.

The obvious place would be Piedmont in the north but that's a long way from Frosinone and a bit out of character with what we know. And looking at the map there is a Piedimonte San Germano to the SW of Arpino/Arce. It is about 10 to 15 miles away but a lot closer than Piedmont.

Looking again at the 1921 census for Giuseppe and Maria (post #106) what I I didn't notice previously is that there is a birthplace place for Maria other than Italy. It looks like Sovie but unfortunately I'm not sure if that's quite right. I had another search for a birth for Maria and other...

It is a strange one. Maybe there was a falling out between Alfred and Alexandra.

If he is passing himself as a Foster (true or not) then he would have had to say his father was deceased. Not certain he was but his mother is married to another man so has to say it.

    Iommi family

We know he is the correct person as he lists his mother so there should be one half sister listed. So can only assume it was either an error or he didn't understand the question.

Going back to the 1901 census. Elizabeth, Alexandra and Alfred are together with no sign of Alfred Foster at that time so that would seem support your ruling out of him being the father. Why did he choose to use the name Foster though if he wasn't one. He could have stuck with Pecchia, or gone...
