Birmingham (or very close by) pubs that you would have liked to visit.

I would've enjoyed visiting the Belgrave pub in Balsall Heath. Spent many hours outside drinking pop whilst my Dad was inside supping with his twin brother. Never made it inside;always intended to. One of those things that never gets done until it's too late. NoddKD

    Harry lucas school

Reading of this school has reminded me of the after school club that was run a couple of times a week. I recall table tennis being played in a room to the rear left of the stage and cricket played outside. Can't recall any names but I did enjoy going there. Just an afterthought, I also paraded...

    Superstitions

I always greet a single magpie. As a nipper I always held my collar if I saw an ambulance and recited "touch my collar, never swalla (swallow) hope I never go in one of those". Then only let my collar go when I saw a four legged animal. The world has not ended so it must work. :) :);) NoddKD...

    Farm street infants and juniors.

Not little old me.:( From Martin's posts I think I arrived at Farm St School as he was leaving. To be honest I can't recall being in a photograph like this at anytime in the school. I vaguely recall photos being taken at some point in the Nativity when I played Joseph! I would like to see THAT...

    Where did you live

Sounds like you lived in Nursery Rd. The left turn would have been into Hunters Road. There was a bridge there;with a clock if I remember correctly. I believe the bus depot was in Heaton Street. NoddKD

    St Georges School, early 60.s

Hi Lyn, can't think why I didn't know of St George's in Newtown. As a nipper living in Hockley we roamed far and wide in the local area. You would think a school with the same name as one I had attended would stick in the mind. Perhaps I did know at the the time but the woolly memory let me...
