    Salford Park Photos Please

It was one of the lakes in Kingsbury Water Park Dek, I used to go and watch it on a Sunday Morning up until about two years ago but that has now stopped due to the growth of the poison algae on the lakes. I used to watch it a lot at Salford Park and I agree with Templer. The anglers had a lot to...

    Stirchley baths and libary ;

Can't answer any of your questions mate but I drove down there yesterday and noticed the old baths. I thought to myself what a shame that such a lovely building is being left to fall apart like that.

    Uniforms of WW1

I've looked through hundreds of badges this morning and can't find a match. I still think Light Infantry or Rifle Regiment but it could also be a Pals Battallion badge. One I've noticed could be the early Royal Regiment of Wales badge and the scroll could possibly denote which Pals Bat' he was...

    Uniforms of WW1

I would say it's a horn too, which means it's light infantry or rifle regiment but as said, needs a higher resolution to help.

    Castle Vale

I shall have to pass on Albert Shaw but Stornoway was an RAF base during WW2. Now a civil airport.

    Old street pics..

Definately Shaftmoor Lane Dek and Lyn. The buildings are still there right by the junction of Oulton Blvd. They have hardly changed at all. Just noticed that there is a cafe there called Boulevard Cafe which I didn't notice before but it confirms what I said above.

Love that story Brenda. Lucky horse, that's all I can say.

    war horse

I guess it's not easy to write something original about a horse, but it's still a good film and it does show us the horrors that animals had to endure during wars. Let's hope the lessons we've learnt from WW1 stay with us.....

    war horse

Saw the film last night. It's brilliant but a few weeks ago I watched a film with Sean Bean in called "Black Beauty" based on the original book. Not one of these glossy tales that were made into TV series or embelished for Holywood. It seems to me that the story is the same accept War Horse goes...

    Clifton Cinema, Great Barr

I drove passed the Cinema several times yesterday blissfully unaware that a fire had occured and although I didn't know about the fire till just now, by looking at it from the front you really wouldn't know. Or at least, I didn't notice any difference.

    The Bull Xmas meet 2011

That's very kind of you Topsyturvy but it was Templer who took the Photo's. Were you on the Tonic Water too? LOL

    The Bull Xmas meet 2011

Well done Lyn and Wendy. Glad I was able to get there even though it was only for a short while. You all looked like you were having a good time. I met Pollypops but sadly didn't have time to meet any of the other new faces. Next time eh? Well done! Merry Xmas Chocks

    Ansells Brewery

For anyone who remembers my uncle, Siddy Timmins - drayman, footballer and youth team football coach. I have the sad misfortune to inform you that Siddy passed away this morning after being involved in a tragic accident in Gt Francis Street on Wednesday afternoon. Chocks

    Trafalgar Rd - Nechells

That helps Mike because if you view the 1898 map Cook Street and Eliot Street appear so the change took place sometime in that 30 year span. Crompton rd also appears so presumably a building programme took place within that time period. Cheers for the info guys Chocks

    Trafalgar Rd - Nechells

I've seen that one mike but it doesn't say why Trafalgar and Wellington (and all the others mentioned) changed or when for that matter. Although that does prove that Cuckoo Road was formerly Cuckoo Lane.
