    The Queens Armed Services Parade

I thought that the programme was all that you both said and more. I was very moved by it. However, as regards the "E11R" formation we either have short memories or the comentators are to young. This was done in 1977 for the Queens Silver Jubilee by Buccaneer Aircraft of 809 Naval Air Squadron...

    National Memorial Arboretum

Such a poor turn out for those that risked everything for others during the war. Wish I could have been there but I had to work. These people should have been bestowed with the highest of honours years ago in my oppinion.

    Castle Bromwich Aerodrome

Re: Castle Bromwich Areodrome Came across these pictures earlier this week in a box of old photo's I was given. Written on the back of the pictures is "Tiger Moth, Castle Brom'ch 1939". It looks rather peaceful there so I guess it was before the war started.

    Nan And Grandad Of Chocks2

This is a picture I aquired last night from my Mom. It's my Nan and Grandad on their wedding day in 1932 at Aston Parish Church. Sadly my Grandads life was cut short when TB took him in 1935 aged only 25 years. My only reason for sharing this picture with you is because I'm so proud to own it...

    Info and location required.

Last night my mother gave me some old photographs and this one has us all puzzled. All we know about it is that the lady marching front right is my Great Grandmother. She is carrying the Standard of the Royal British Legion. We don't know the date but it is obviously between the wars. The...

    Aston Manor Transport Museum

I agree with you Bernie but I should think that the council have the legal means to delay the Listing. I also believe that they have a legal obligation to supply the basic maintenence of all listed buildings within their area. That's my understanding anyway, but as I said, "Call me synical". I...

    Aston Manor Transport Museum

Not suprised that it is now listed. Call me synical but I think this is part of a greater scheme by the council. Hold off the listing until the museum has moved out, Get someone in who will pay a higher rent (which I understand is in the pipeline) , List the building and the higher rent will go...
