Hi Mike, this photo was taken outside of Sam Colwill's shop in Ilfracombe. So it looks like they are returning home from their annual outing. That's probably why they look so glum.

I was a steward at Villa Park 1980-84 (free pie & cuppa) and remember when they became European Champions. Not been around that area for years but, I went past there last year along Trinity Rd and was really surprised to see the stand extended across the road.

Lyn, this 1st photo shows No 90 High St when it was a house. Later photos show it to have converted to a shop ( 2nd photo). Some members can't recall as to where these places were so I have pointed out Hawkins & Burlington Hall. Sorry for the clarity of the 2nd photo as it's a part of a larger one.

Hawkins jellied eel shop. If I remember correctly, Hawkins was about four shops down from the corner shop. I remember the 2nd shop down was a second hand/junk shop because I used to buy old spanners from him for my motor bike.
