    We can just see the road barriers on the left these are the continuation from the previous photo. We are now in St. Michaels Road - with the church of the same name in front of us.

    Next we move to Piers Road Handsworth - and what looks like a depot - road closed with those red and white wooden barriers and a few cones! This is just down from St Michaels Road and Soho Avenue so could this be now St. Michaels C of E Primary Academy?

    We have now moved on to Roll 65 and the first picture is a request - where , what and why Horse drawn delivery carts, lots of bunting, Carts have Powells on the side and a quick search on this site came to JT Powell Hay Mills , feel free to move it over there if you wish

    We are back in the city again September 1957 and this is the corner of John Bright Street Navigation Street, imagine having a corner like this these days - giant Guinness advert - large Senior Service Cigarette advert, and Chetwyns " Mans Shop" - Oh the complaints there would be !!!

    We now move to Barr Street and go back to 1958 and rather a stark image - did my best to save it :grinning:, at least you can see the motorbike !! Building on the right seems to have nothing next to it - demolished rather than end of terrace

    This is Ward Street looking from Tower Street, no real landmarks to confirm this , plenty of bricked up buildings though and I like the car.

    We are back in the City Centre for the next few - Looking up Albert Street off Dale End in February 1961, imagine parking there these days , nice bit of iron work on the bus shelter on the left too

    Now looking rather sad for itself, The Summerhill Tavern, former Banks Pub it has an interesting selection of poster for bands of the time. Nice selection of dorways window frames and turrets and a large chimney peeping out from the back.

    Our next picture is taken in Summerhill Road, once a FIAT dealership, this now boarded up property was apparently a Cinema in the 1950's. Everything boarded up and Fly posted in 1992

    Moving a bit further down Monument Road to the corner of Darnley Road and we have the Church of St. Johns and St. Peters, and designed by S.S Teulon built in 1852 - 1854, it was consecrated by the Bishop Of Worcester and built on Ladywood Green a 17th Century Plague burial Ground

    Here we have the Monument Road Baths surprisingly on Monument Road, looking all closed up but it may be the photo, taken in March 1992, seem quiet but it may be because a lot of pictures were taken on a Sunday

    We now have a general view down Waterworks Street , Harold Road onthe left and Perrotts Folly in the distance , the houses on the right remain but those on the corner of Harold Road have been replaced . Remember the old road signs it looks easy to miss and has no light over it either

    Next we have I am told the White House - Gooch Street and Bishop Street again 1960, looking like it is/ has been refurbished, not a hint of branding of any sort , and their is a lack of a lamp on the corner fixing. Nice selction of cars - any colour but has to be black !!

    Looking sorry for itself is the Shakespeare, Wheeler Street Aston 1961, never heard of Dares Bitter Beer, like the old ness of the building the large lamp, blocked up windows, a street sign across an old window and the old lamp on the corner
