    House numbering system in 19C?

    NOT in BIRMINGHAM but while tracing ancestors (from over 100 years ago) in Rowney Green near Redditch we noted a few numbers and when we went to look all the village now have NO NUMBERS..... just made up names......gone from land workers cottages to posh places....lol

    Yes but because Leah was on later voting lists people assumed this was the same one and I had to explain the one died and the other was born later.

    On one 1911 census they have Leah as 8 ...but she was born 03 and died 04...it does say one dead child but everyone who went before ( and put her on their tree) didnt see this and listed her as alive.......I knew this couldnt be true as the parents named another girl Leah and I had met her and...

    Thanks...all looks different now on Google but still has houses there with what looks like same numbering. Better than most other addresses I have looked for which all went to factories.....have to have a tour around now and see the roundhouse.....surely the Grandad must have done some work there.

    With reference to #16 on the map it gives No120 so would No 20 be around the junc with St Vincents as Wifes Grand Dad Grand Mom and Sister lived there in 1921.He is listed on 21 census as being a Carter at St Vincents Warfe but this could possible be the Corporation Warfe on the Map. Thanks
