I love penguins - wish I could remember them. The crab sounds nightmarish. Ages ago I had a dream about a lot of stuffed animals, which was probably based on these buried memories. The dinosaur used to terrify me, even as an adult. The pterodactyl was quite something as well.

The arrival of the Irish brother and sister (who was wearing false eyelashes!!) was interesting. My grandfather and family came over in 1900, and already had relatives in Birmingham who had come over before, so I assume had work to go to. In the programme, the pair arrived with no money at all...

I didn't spend as many hours in Greys as I did in Lewis's, but looking at the photos, wish I'd explored it more. Lewis's always seemed more interesting and organised. Was there a young person's clothes department in Greys called Way In? Or am I thinking of another shop?

Yes, his Holmes was very eccentric and strange. I didn't know about the bi-polar disorder, and he seems to have had a difficult life in many ways. We're currently watching him in "Rebecca" (only available on YouTube), which is what made me look him up.
