I thought Mr Chippendale used bay rum on his hair, not that I know what it is, but it sounds old-fashioned!

We also did those dances at school! I really enjoyed them. In the 80s I did contemporary dance and dance/drama at the BAI with two excellent teachers. When we did the performances, there was one class that did French folk dances.

What a variety of classes! Would National Dancing be English folk dance?

And the sandals in no. 3 - they were still being worn in the 60s and maybe 70s.

    Visiting cat

I have heard that. I am worried about over feeding or maybe giving her the wrong type of food. Before this one, there was a ginger cat that used to come in to us...perhaps word got around!

    Visiting cat

Several weeks ago a cat started to visit us, and we began (perhaps wrongly) to give her treats. Then, as she seemed so ravenous, we started to give her sachets of Sheba. We think she has a home somewhere, though we’re not experienced with cats, but she does seem to need food, and turns up at the...

There was a frightening painting of The Death of Hippolytus (the bull from the sea) which I can't find by googling. Perhaps it was very big, but I certainly didn't like it.

I know that I've been to the roof garden, but annoyingly can't remember details, though think there was a small bridge over a stream. So it was good to see the photos.

I also remember the section where you looked down into a sort of tomb - I found it quite frightening, for some reason.

    Plush Nuggets

I just had a memory of something...but I'm thinking of quite large 'lumps' of a pink substance with tiny holes, and I don't think they're the same things.

It's really interesting, and I also wish the same!

Fabulous! All those people wearing hats...and the tea urn was a nice touch, very thoughtful. The lifts jogged my memory as well.

    Crossroads programme

Sandor Eles, who played Paul Ross, turned up in an episode of Upstairs, Downstairs (Desirous of Change, 1973) a couple of days ago. He played an Austrian con man, and wasn't recognisable as he had long hair or more probably was wearing a wig.
