My nan from Brum was taking about taking Mary Whitehouse's short hand and typing classes that took place in Corporation street. Does anybody know anything about this??

Does anybody know how to find christenings that happened at the church in the 1930s. I've tried online but can't seem to find anywhere.

I just found that one of my nan's great-grandparents lived at No 3 Court 3 Cheapside. Does anybody have an idea where this would be located now, as of course it is long gone since the slum clearouts or possibly even before that

Does anybody know where Court Back of 18 Bradford Street Birmingham would be from the 1871 census? I don't think this is the actual court that is mentioned above but thought since it was still back Bradford Street I would try. Thanks

Thanks all for the interesting info. I've just seen my great great aunty lived at 17 Chattaway Street in 1939 not long before she passed away.

@pjmburns & @Astoness It means so much to help from researchers who know so much about Brum (Masters). A huge amount of my family comes from Brum and I've never even been, so getting help means a great deal to me.

Would this be the same 'Oak Place' as mentioned in these Baptism documents from 1900/1901. It says 14 Oak Place but the wording after this doesn't seem to be William Street or Ladywood. Thanks
