    I had not seen that, Janice. Thank you. It confirms, to some degree, what we were told by our Mother, that Thomas had gambling debts, and that was why he committed suicide. He had only been married for a short time, and had a young daughter, who I met in later life. Steve.

    My fathers brother committed suicide in 1934. I believe that he was buried at Witton cemetery. Steve.

    Yes, Viv. I'm guessing, around 66/67. My folks moved in about 1947/8, I think, when the prefabs were built. All of them had the same type of coal shed in the gardens, so they were purpose built. Nipper was purchased for 6s/6d. :grinning: He was my dog, but belonged to the family. Steve.
