    Hi there, many thanks for getting back to me. I was looking for a location and what diploma's were needed to become a dental mechanic. I was hoping he didn't work for a local blacksmith lol.

    Hi there, my grandfather gave his occupation on his marriage certificate in 1916 as a dental mechanic. Does anybody knows where he was trained. He came from the Aston area.

    My ancestors lived at around 201, Lichfield rd, however, it was great to see what the place as a whole looked like - because that was around the time they lived there.

    My ancestors lived in a couple of properties on the Lichfield road, which was just up from the station. They lived in other streets as well.

    Thank you so much for the link. I saw some photo's which I guessing were post war and into the sixties. When I visited that neck of the woods about 10 years ago, it looked completely different to the photo's.

    Thank you for getting back to me. I noticed your photo had a steam train on it, I recently took my mum for a birthday treat on the Severn Railway for lunch, it was a nice few hours.
