Hi Scotty and welcome to the forum. Will see if I can find an old photo of some classmates on the day we left. Can't find it but this is a photo on a Youth Hostelling week away in Shropshire. I am on the right but cannot for the life of me remember the girls name next to me.
Have seen this one a few times Covroad in the old Ansells mags. My brother and husband worked there for many years too. Pete had one of the best jobs. He was on the brewing side and a sampler too.
I worked at Wyndley Leisure Centre for almost twenty years and on days when it wasn't raining I would go and feed the ducks and walk in the park. Such a lovely place to work too.
Yes my Nan used to work for Mr Minty Jonsyl. She lived in one of the houses at the back of the cafe. From what I can remember the shop was over the road from the cafe. I will see if I can sort a photo out of Nan's little garden and the back of the coach station. My Nan and Cousins Jill...
For years my aunt and uncle lived in the little close that backed onto the park. How lovely to open your bedroom curtains and have the park at the back of the garden to look out onto!!. There little dogs loved their freedom in the park too.
