    Ansells Brewery

    After the strike my husband retained his job and moved to a depot in Aldridge as did most of the other workers. After that a depot was opened on the Tyburn road and is still there. We used to go to the Ansells club most Saturdays when our twins were young and played tennis and squash there.

    They always treated us well!. Have heard some bad things about the place Frothy but the mom fell in love with our twins when they were very young. The son and his wife divorced a while back causing the closure of the shop. Had many a bargain from there over the years!!.

    It is sad to see buildings like these go but the cost of running them is astronomical. I have happy memories from when I first became a swimming instructor and worked part time to begin with teaching adults and life saving. There was a documentary filmed there "My twin and I" and my twins...

    Another way of raising forum funds is to have an auction where someone puts an item on a thread and the highest bidder wins. Usually the item is left on for a week and the seller pays postage to the winner. Have not done this for a while and we used to have some fun at the same time too...

    Libraries : My First Visit To A Library.

    I must be honest I can't remember my first visit to a library but I made sure my twins used our local one a lot. They used to have special afternoons with children to encourage them to read and made reading fun. Hi Alan.
