Wow that is some house. My Dad was in the NFS during WWII and we didn't have a place like that. Recon if you sold that in 1949 your Dad could have bought NZ, or at least the North Island. Cheers Tim

They Were Caught In Our Old Street Pics...

Don't think it's a badge but a shadow as on the back of her skirt. If however it proves to be a uniform I would suggest that she is an off duty nurse (add the headdress and pinafore !). Cheers Tim

My mom was an Ellen but always called Nelly, except by her brother who called her Ellen Louise Green Draws. This referred to her going to a posh school, Warwick Girls High School . Cheers Tim

With regard to #54 prior to coming to live in Oz in 1961 I was a happy member of The Cherubs Motor Scooter Club ( we only rode scooters so we were too small to be Hell's Angels !). Long story short we went for a day out to Warwick and it rained all day, solid. On our return I came round the bend...

106491 became part of our gang's extended play areas. Did anyone else take the precaution of holding your left hand around your neck so that the rats could not bite your throat! No fear of falling into cellars or having staircases collapse under you but we were wary of rats ( as big as cats!)...

    Childhood Memories

My mother took most of our family photos which is why so many had the head missing. I think she pressed so hard on the shutter button (Box Brownie) that the camera tilted down to the right.

Example we had been playing marbles ( marlies in our street ) say for three weeks, so I went out next day with...
