Had a Hurricane lantern in the window tonight with two tubs of sweets on show and not one knock at the door. That said we live in a quiet(ish) spot so never get a lot of children knocking but...all day we've had 40-50MPH gusts and horizontal rain so I'm not surprised so thats one tub of Heroes...

Old stoves and lanterns I was a very keen collector but sold off most now because I'm getting older and the kids are not interested in them. I've kept a few and make brew in the man cave/radio shack most nights.

Anybody remember the Oxford Club in Moseley? Opened in the afternoon and shut whenever...early hours usually. The Odd Spot was another mainly afternoon club and there was another which I can't remember the name of and Daddy Long Legs was dubious place to drink.

I've got an old laptop running ham radio software through XP and only retired it because the screen was failing. Thats all that machine had to do and it worked. Lot of people spend hundreds of pounds on a laptop and really just do a bit of social media/email/youtube on them, pointless upgrade...

I've been an 'Insider' for a long time now (stand alone machine/different MS account). I'll let the dust settle before upgrading main machines but at present W10 works so well I don't feel a real need to upgrade. I rolled back from W8.1 to W7 and waited for W10.
