    I seem to remember a motorcycle spares shop at the bottom of Watery lane, almost on the corner with Lawley street. I think it was called 'Motorcycle Equipment' (M.C.E).

    I live opposite the park. One picture does not tell the whole story. In the summer, especially the weekends the park is rammed with visitors. I would happily pay to use the park.

    Has the 'Iron Man' got feet? Any pictures of him before he was lowered onto the plinth below ground level?

    I seem to remember when it was first installed, that the 'Iron man' was to look as if if he was escaping from or shooting out from the ground below. I like it as a piece of work and how it reflects the past iron trades of this area.

    Comptometer operator

    Not a 'Comptometer' that might be recognisable by some. This is a hand operated 'Calculator'. It could calculate: addition. subtraction, multiplication and division. I have tried to understand how to operate it from instructions in the booklet that came with it......I failed.

    I never operated such a machine and have very little knowledge of which buttons were pressed to achieve a satisfactory result. However I do have a brand new one, still in its original box. I will post a few pics of it for you to peruse.
