    with speed skating we had to put soft green soap on our feet to help stop the blisters on the ball of the foot and the under heel :cry:

    another one of our cycle rides were to Kenilworth castle and take a pick- nick they were the good old days :)

    my cousin Graham left the skating and went on his cycling journey to become world champion well done Graham. some more photos of the Embassy roller rink.

    when we were in Begium we had to race on a road up a hill around a pile of tyres back down the hill around a pile of tyres and back up the hill one of the lads fell over what a mess on his knees and arms and that was the only race we lost over on the continent.

    Astoness, yes i am middle row fifth from the left that was taken at Walford rd one week befor we went ot the continent to race in 1960. were did you skate

    Icarus, thats a nice picture, you can see were the pub has been made alot bigger.

    at the left hand side of the dog there used to be a passage to the canal and on the left there were one or two houses but i think the pub covers all that ground now.

    where we had our premises Tysley Chadwick there was a bomb site in front of it and to the side other businesses just there was Betts Transport a metal work shop and a patern makers, anyone remember seeing any of these places in Albert road.

    ROY C, what did your dad do at the Serck i probably new him, i was in the phtography club which was made up of people that worked in the plate shop, some of the models that posed for us they all worked at the Serck, in the first photo the person taking the photo is Frank Millward his brother...
