    I recall making arrangements for a young lady with special needs to be taken to this unit from N Devon. This would have been around 2008 when I was working for South West Ambulance.

    Thank you so much for the reply, in all honesty I don't remember. The classes were at Stone Hall in Acocks Green, he introduced us to the work of Ansel Adams, and to the value of sheet of black paper when glass or silver needs to be photographed!

    Travelled on 66 daily 1970-80 ie time of your picture to and from work it went past Gosta Green tech and then straight out along Lichfield Rd.

    Even getting quite a few bees now, mid September, flowers on ivy proving particularly attractive. Mahonia will usually keep them interested later in the year.

    Despite going backwards and forwards along the 11 route for many years school then work, bus, cycling then driving I never realised that Southam Rd went left AND right of Colebank Rd.

    The story in my wife's family is that her maternal grand father, Arthur Bliss was a drinking colleague of Arthur Doyle. We shall never know, but time and place were right. Both had a reputation for liking "a drop of pop"

    In 1950's until 1956 the cricket grounds were our school playing fields, rugby as well as cricket. They were on the right just up from College Rd. That was KEGS Camp Hill prior to their move to Kings Heath.
