There is some chat on social media that trains on this Moseley/Kings Heath line will only "shuttle" between New St and Kings Norton ie no direct links towards onward stations towards Redditch/Bromsgrove etc.

I know I've said it before but this really does make the metro tram obsolete. Imagine not having those seemingly endless roadworks.

Interesting to see where the Camp Hill line, or is it South Birmingham line interfaces with the non-train world, a couple of points in Stirchley are the bridges over "The Worthings" and the bridge formed by the top of the hill in Fordhouse Lane. Is it also the line at the back of the railway...

That's who I remembered

There was the occasional single deck tram along here until mid 50's. The tracks were removed around 1956. All viewed from the classroom window.

Scene of some of Brum's last trams as many were diverted here to the depot just to the right.

Hydrangea! Can't claim much credit, was here when we came 20 years ago, apart from cutting lumps off I never do anything, I have never fed it or anything at all, just keeps growing!

Motor cyclist appears to have a flat hat ie no crash helmet. Did the Swan have traffic lights at some stage? Went past there to school 56-58 then to work until around 1970. The bay window, to the right of the Ford Thames van was the "snug" great room for a quiet drink! Thanks for the memories.

I thought the scaffold was around the then new "big top" site?

When we travelled along Hobmoor Road, I suppose in 1950's, my grandfather b 1893 would often refer to the crossing over the Cole as "the ford". I wonder what bucolic memories he would be enjoying.
