    Found this recipe for Mrs Beeton's Christmas pud dated from her 1906 edition book on Household Management. It looks fairly straight forward I may try it, but half the recipe.

    My Cousin Pete is a jeweler, he designed and made my first engagement ring back in 1979 when he started at Bicknell's, in the Jewellery Quarter. He is still there some 50 years later. He adjusted my wedding ring and engagement ring for my second marriage in 2015.

    Found this one but it is not very clear. Wenman street is around the bottom middle of this map. As you can see the whole of Birmingham was heavily bombed.

    I am sat at work just fancying a slice of this with a bit of the dripping jelly on it also and a sprinkle of salt....I know salt, the bread and the dripping is bad for you but what the heck you only live once! This used to be a great treat as a child.
