    In 1900 there is also Protestant Dissenting Charity School. There is a Graham Street in Lozells but no apparent religious places in 1900.

What is most noticeable on some images is the concentration of industry and the pollution emitted from factory chimneys, given that smoking and coal fires were also a norm in those days it's no wonder chest infections/diseases were...

    An aerial view from 1934 showing No.85, I'm not sure which is No. 85 but if you know which is No. 85 from the photo originally posted then it should be possible to work it out. EDIT: Long Acre label has been repositioned, thanks Mark that has resolved the confusion I had.

    Factory Where Tony Iommi Worked in Aston

    There is a 'sheet metal workers' called Unity listed as 52/53 Summer Lane in both the 1964 & 1967/68 Kelly's. On the 1966/67 map it is labelled 'welding works'. I can find no other sheet metal factories on Summer Lane. It would be a 20min walk or 5 minutes by car from Park Lane

    Such sad news, I never met Eric but would have been honoured to meet him, I am always in awe of people with his artistic ability and reading all of these messages shows what a lovely person he was too. I will very much miss seeing his paintings of Birmingham.
