I’m lucky if I can go two hours at a time, with replacement hips and knees they recommend stopping and walking around every two hours so that’s the reason!
Our next car will be a hybrid, not plug in. Out daughter has a Honda CRV hybrid and gets 40mpg on a US gallon that would be 48/50 mpg imperial gallons.
Yes, I have listened to many tracks on You tube. Recently I listened to Dave Brubeck with Paul Desmond and Joe Morello on drums. Long gone now but wonderful music. Brubeck plays Bernstein plays Brubeck is another passed favorite.
Last night I read a chronology/ history and Wikipedia on the new Triumph motorcycle company. Maybe not so new anymore. I was impressed at what they have done/doing. The bikes look great and very current. Goes to show what entrepreneurs can do!
I remember those rolling on the front wheel. In fact an older friend had one, you pulled a lever to lift the motor off the wheel. I also remember it being very problematic if your front tire went flat!
My aunts Eva & Daisy (sisters) were married at Trinity Church, corner Birchfield and Trinity Rds with receptions at the Crown & Cushion. The weddings were about 5 or 6 years apart in the early fifties. Yes, I had a great time!
I have great memories of Barrows & Lewis’s walking through them both on a Saturday with my mother, onto C&A (I think) then on to Grays. If we went later in the day I might get a bag of hot potatoes before boarding the 29 bus home.
