    Thanks Phil, looks like the pub I remember. As I recall the road to the right with the Cortina is Belgrave Road and Moseley Road off to the left. My Dad and his twin used the entrance in Belgrave Road ,I stood outside,cold.

    I attended Icknield Street School briefly. If my memory serves me Icknield Street was one way from Hockley Brook to Key Hill and the number 8 passed both ends of the school. Sorry I can't recall the name of the road on the opposite side. Nodd
