    Touchscreen problems

There are, apparently, a lot of things that could cause the problem. Take a look at https://www.makeuseof.com/tag/fix-touchscreen-windows-10/ For some possible solutions.

Head Post Office (Sorting Office) Birmingham

I'm not sure what really ended the use of the tunnel but I remember having to ride out on the van Christmas 1978 and throw bags onto the train at Curzon Street. Maybe that was just parcels but, if they were using that as the loading point, you could see why they'd stop using the tunnels.

Weather : past adverse weather in Birmingham

All that was before my time but I do remember unseasonal snow one summer https://www.birminghammail.co.uk/news/midlands-news/snow-scenes-june-1975---9375720 . It seems someone else thinks that happened a year later...

    Windows 10

I've seen a few displays of 3D printers in the last few years and these designs don't really fit with them. Printers are more appropriate to individual objects than scenes. If there is an output to video rather than still, it might be thought of as a starter in animation but it is very basic. If...

Well Remembered, Play, Film, Tv And Other Lines.

Isn't that the DeNiro monologue from Taxi Driver? Trivial point - he did the whole bit again in "The Adventures of Rocky & Bullwinkle". It starts "Are you talking to me?"

    Computer help

As above, I've not tried downloading audio from Youtube and I have tried audacity as a recorder. Audacity can be a pain to setup and I've had some computers that require a little wiring (an audio cable from the speaker socket to the microphone socket) to make the recording work. there do seem...

    Computer help

You can't. Most likely it's either bitcomet taking its time to realise that the connection has gone and the transfer rates are averaged over time, the same emptying its cache, or whatever was telling you that the connection was gone wasn't entirely accurate.

    breweries of age,

Nothing about Heeley's being a brewery but, from the stamp on the bottom, your bottle dates from 1892-1913. The makers of the bottle are Cannington, Shaw & Company Limited of St. Helens who added the "Ltd" in 1892 and joined United Glass Bottle Manufacturers in 1913. From that, I doubt you're...

    Digbeth Pubs

Looked at the page. The list in grey on black of pubs is almost invisible. Any chance of a change of colour scheme?

    Sixties Music

They're probably shifting to vinyl on account of an article at the end of last year saying vinyl outsold downloads last year although that was mostly down to the price difference (vinyl costs 10-20 times as much) although I daresay the recent wave of portable record players helped as well. The...

    Sixties Music

Something that isn't quite what it seems. deagostini are putting out one of those magazine partworks with old Beatles vinyl albums. They are also selling subscriptions to the set. The set runs to 23 albums. Those of you old enough should have realised that the Beatles put out less than a dozen...

    Barrel Organ pub Digbeth

As far as I can tell Paddy Finn (who came from Dublin) was only ever owner? / Landlord of "The Dubliner" not the Barrel Organ before it or Subside after. Would that be right? Then again, despite spending all that time in the Barrel, I never really knew the management.

    Barrel Organ pub Digbeth

The old Barrel Organ is now called Subside (website at https://www.subsidebar.co.uk/ ) with what seems to be a new ownership (see "The Team" on the site). I haven't been in there since it stopped being the Barrel. There were stories at the time that it was being bought by the company that owned...

    Windows 10

Sometime in the early part of this century Microsoft integrated Internet Explorer and Windows Explorer so they're part of the same thing and part of Windows itself which is why you can't remove IE as you would other programs. Edge is supposed to replaced IE so I assume the same goes for that...

    Windows 10

System restore takes the system back to one of the "restore points" that are usually created when you make adjustments to the software on the computer. With a little luck you should have several of these from after you upgraded to Windows 10. What you need to do is work out when you started...

    Birmingham Cinemas

Taking inflation into account and the multiple screen cinemas increased capacity, I wouldn't be surprised to find that most modern cinemas aren't doing anything like as well as they were 40-50 years ago before the advent of home video, massive TV screens and High Definition transmission. Then...

    Birmingham Cinemas

Some of it depends on what you think of as walking distance but I think you've missed the ABC New Street from your old list and a new list might include the Mockingbird at the Custard Factory.
