    Re: Family tree research- Im stuck :( In 1911 Elsie would have been 15/16 - she may have been a servant/maid and living with her employers - this was very common especially in rural areas.

Was the person male? and if so was there an unmarried female in that household that would be the right age to have a baby? Do you know...

    Hi have found found the marriage 8th Dec 1776 Samuel GIBBINS of this parish, bachelor Clary Roper of this parish, spinster by banns. both signed with X mark. I think the witnesses were Jonathan??? Davies and Dorothy Perry? but difficult to read. Frances Ann daughter of Samuel and Clary GIBBONS...

    Hi, it's your lucky day (almost) I have access to a few St Bartholomew's records - 27 Aug 1832 Thomas Clarke and Jane Burton - witness - James Harris Do not know if the E on Clarke is correct but that is how it is typed on the page.

    Mike it seems you are right about being able to access it from Hunters Road - this is from the Birmingham Daily Post Saturday 21st August 1886 - Charles Daniel applying for a license to sell wine on the premises of the Tramway Restaurant, Hunters lane.

    Great! Strangely I can't find any other mention of the Cable tramway inn in the papers - usually there are mentions in the licenses granted etc. but not for that one. I wonder if it wasn't called that for very long or if it closed down?
