    There appears to be only one Richard Shakespear (unusual spelling) in this area and he was born circa1874 He is in Cemetery Road. Smethwick in 1939 Richard Shakespear 31st Dec 1874 Rowland Shakesprear 1st July 1887 Hannah Shakespear 11th Jan 1880 siblings and all unmarried.

    Sutton Park History

    Birmingham Council is considering releasing the upkeep of the park to a Trust which it says will generate income for the upkeep of the park parts of which are in a state of disrepair especially the roads. Always think of it as a bit of countryside near to home.

    I have just looked at the history of Mothers and it states opened 1969 , it also states in the same venue as the Carlton which opened in 1963. i find this very puzzling as I married,( had my reception at the Acorn) in 1961 and I used to go to the club before this possibly 1959/1960.
