    BANNISTER, Mary and Martha

Martha does appear on the 1891 census as a servant of a Thomas Priest, a chain manufacturer, in Rowley Regis. There is a danger in reading too much into marriage certificates, and other records, sometimes and think there must be reason for the omission of a family member as a witness. It can be...

    Dowdall Christopher John

A different one I suspect, the one of King Edward's Road appears to have been born 1944.

    Dowdall Christopher John

I assume you mean the son and not the father? He appears to be up until 2023, there doesn't seem to be a death reg. for him up until then.

In 1939 they were living at The Vineries in Solihull. Ernest died in 1975 and Diana in 2011. Not sure about Mary, possibly in 2008.

Families are strange and sometimes we just don't know what went on. With the name variations you have to remember that most records - censuses & registrations - were filled out by someone else being told the information. If the person telling them couldn't read or write they would have no idea...

    Davis

Another guess then, if you don't mind. It appears that the Raymond Charles Davis I mentioned was the nephew of your Raymond Charles Davis, the son of his brother, George Frederick. They both being sons of George Davis and Sarah Ann Wilkes. Your Raymond married Ada Elizabeth King? At least one...

Being late and overbudget is nothing new - Birmingham Town Hall. Unfortunately being within budget and on time is not news.

    Iommi family

Probably, eventually. In genealogy terms at least it's better to have English/Welsh ancestors. There are so many more records available.

    Iommi family

That was not uncommon. Could be that Eleuterio went first, intending to find work and then send for them but in this case it may just have been that the child wasn't well enough to travel when he went.

They are listed as Simon on findmypast & familysearch.

    Ok, wrong guess.

    BANNISTER, Mary and Martha

The most obvious answer is usually the right one. Martha is listed as servant in 1891 and it is possible that she had moved on from that position and found one in Bham. Alternatively, she was still living in Rowley Regis and the address she gives on her marriage was one of convenience. If...

Terence Davis? Father Raymond married twice? Possibly 5 sisters and a half sister?

    Iommi family

Seems likely. The Philadelphia Catholic baptism are on findmypast but not the burials.

I have 6 children now - Carmenucci born here, then Adelem, Eleonora, Carmen, Giovanni & Michael in Philadelphia.

Thanks, should have realised Carmenucci was Carmen Despite being ill, I guess he must be the child that travelled with Rose in 1907.

    Iommi family

Just found another son of Eleuterio born before he emigrated, Caramenucci, birth listed as Zommi 1907. Not sure what happened to him but he must have died young.

Don't think it's going to be finished before 2035 and with the amount of money already spent it has to be finished no matter what the cost. Not defending anyone but it isn't easy building projects like this in Britain. Everyone wants the benefits but no one wants the inconvenience. The same...
