    Cowper Street

As I lived in Paddington St, I can confirm that this is the off-licence or outdoor as it was also known. We had one at both ends of the street on the same side. Dave A

I really don't remember buying stamps at all, just swapping. I did look with envy at stamps that were on display in shops and probably the one in Needless Alley. There was a shop in Newtown Row that had quite a few for sale and I do recall them having assortments in see through envelopes. Dave A.

Of course...I'm Dave Astley, I live in Mississauga, ON. NFLD, is my favorite place in Canada. Before Covid, I went there 5 summers in a row (drove the last time). I was also a stamp collector back in Brum, lost my collection when we moved south. Dave A

Good question...zooming in on the plaque, it appears to say John Garth Building. There was a new roof installed at the Kidderminster station a few days before this ceremony. Not sure if there is any connection. Dave A

Until Covid struck, my wife & I would visit the UK every other year on even numbers. Oct 2006 we went to Birmingham and subsequently indulged in my love of steam and spending a day on the SVR. I have the file photo numbers too prove that it was early Oct 2006 and later that month ,visited Evora...

I didn't find what you were looking for, However, I did find a shot of the crowd at Perry Barr. They would put a random picture of the crowd and circle 2 spectators who would receive free tickets for the next meeting. Maybe she is in the crowd, I have another shot somewhere. Dave A

I'm still here...Unfortunately, my sister did not keep the programmes. She would cut out photo's and paste them into the scrapbook. Don't recall her being an Ivor Davies fan, so it's doubtful that he would be a cut & paste. I will take a look and see for sure. Dave A

    Kalamazoo

Unrelated to the thread topic...in the 60's I worked on a project in South Bend, Indiana, USA. I would drive the 500+ miles from my home in Toronto about once a month. My journey would take me through Kalamazoo, Michigan and like most English folks at the time, I was fascinated with most things...
