I did say how far behind in the growing season we are, up here. Clem and Honetsuckle in full flow. Begonia are doing well. Lizzies are now looking good. I did loose a couple, and saved this one, but it's come to nought. Hydrangea is great. My BBQ whisky barrel off-cut is...

    RIP OLD MOWHAWK (phil)

Such sad news to hear that a forum stalwart has left the fold. His help and knowledge will be missed by all. Steve.

    Oldest Post Box in Birmingham?

Well, I have asked the lady who knows everything that is going on in the village, , and she says that no one knows. We have a phantom knitter in our midst, it would seem. Steve.

Seaside rhubarb. Any wind with North in it will cover it with salt spray. I asked the chap who grows it, if it had a salty tang. He has promised to let me have some to try. :grinning: Steve.

I was siting in someones garden last night, when two Brocks came waddling up to within 20ft. of me. I managed a quick couple of pictures before they headed for the bird feeding station. They have poor eyesight, but an excellent sense of smell. The wind was in my favour. Steve.

I don't, Kat. Sorry. It is someone in the village, and the theme changes frequently. Christmas, Easter, etc. I just had to pop out and have a look. :D Steve.

It goes with the territory here, SH. We are only about 150 yards from the sea, facing North. I'll get some pics of the Buddleia tomorrow. They are in a state. Steve.

This is what two days of cold wind can do here. It did not put the Starlings off for long though. Steve.

I always work on the basis that the sun is always below the yard arm somewhere. Maybe 14C here, but good enough to fire-up the BBQ. The wind is backing round to the SE, so we will see some fine weather over the next few days. Steve.

30mph WNW wind here. Temperature feeling 7 deg.o_O Honeysuckle and Clam are getting battered. :worried: A change in weather is forecast from tomorrow. We are to see 22 deg. :D Steve.

Does it flower, Pete? We had one in our garden on the West coast, and it flowered every year. Steve.
