    Laptop Memory Upgrade

I did as jukebox suggested about two months ago, a “tune up”, We have a service that protects our printer, tablets, notebooks etc. it was done remotely and took about 20 minutes. My computer, a Lenovo runs as fast as it ever did without adding parts. Worth a try!

Just read your story Michael, very poignant if I might add! Through the eyes of a ten year old, everything was crystal clear. For your mother and grandmother I am sure there was a lot more detail and raw emotion! We moved from Aston about 18 years before as a 7 year old and never knew anything...

Welcome to the BHF Andy! Such a sad story for you and your father, when I emigrated it was emotional for a 19 year old but nothing compared to your grandmother, such difficult times!

Great News For The Jewellery Quarter

That is great news! Why do these museums and some libraries keep closing for extended periods? It would seem that in a museum for example you would close off part of it and do the renovations and complete progressively. Or am I missing something?

In the very early 60’s you would drink the coke elal as slowly as possible to listen to the juke box and be seen! BTW, if I recall they were very small bottles!

    Groups We Have Seen Live

When we lived in NJ our neighbors who moved there from Las Vegas were friends of Fleetwood Mac. We lived on a cul de sac and our properties boarded one another. We did get to meet them briefly at a small cook out bbq sans all the glitter. Did not know what to expect but they were far nicer than...

    Nostalgia

Very well said! I think that most families lived within themselves, not all but more than today. We/I knew what my lot was and for the most part lived within, not that we did not have aspirations of grandeur! If you just look in a modern kitchen, microwave, ice maker (ours makes craft ice), 8...

    Nostalgia

So very very true! We look at our grandchildren who we love dearly, they have no idea of what we dealt with. They are all embroiled is the here and now, and to be fair that’s what we did! However it would be a great learning experience for them to look back 50 years and see the revolutionary...

    Birmingham Screwdriver Company Digbeth

I used to start screws with a hammer (never a joiner) now I have self drilling screws on a battery powered portable drill with a very nice led light and magnetic screw holder. How easy is that, sorry off topic!
