A cracking image Lyn and must have some age to it as the chap on the right is blurred possibly due to the long exposure required.

Looking at a much earlier map it looks as though this was the part in Court 9 being demolished (not showing on 1950s map).

The only images I can find of No. 63, by 1967/68 it had been demolished and was part of the Thomas Startin Austin Dealership.

Well the building is still there, a nursery has appeared in front of it, I can only assume that the road must have been narrowed at some stage. I went to that school around 1957 to 1959.

This 1855 map of Chattaway Street shows that it was originally called Nelson Street, Cook Street Long Acre was originally Trafalgar Road. Very few properties on Nechells Park Road in 1855. Edited

Geoff that's a brilliant street map of Potter Street, I searched for ages late last night for a map like that, would you mind telling me where you found it. EDIT: Just found it, adding the date of 1855 brought it up on google.

Great image and so atmospheric. Distinguishing feature are: 5 x terraced houses, entry to court at the rear, path/road on the right of the houses and signposted road/entrance on the left-hand side of them. No houses on the 1892-1914 map fit this image but there is a possibility on the 1839 map...

In 1935 the Church had a steeple.
