I have this aerial view from 1935 and street map from 1950s.

I thought that could be the case too, the buildings would seem to be right for that.

Quite a complicated street to work out locations. Victoria Terrace stretches all the way through to Osler Street. The house numbers appear to jump from 4 to 34.

I suspect this aerial view from 1948 probably shows the original buildings but without further information it's impossible to know for sure.

Struggling to find references to Waterworks Lane perhaps a typo and should be Waterworks Road. Kelly's do not list an RAF Stores but I suspect this would be unlikely during a period of war.

Yes, I got it wrong Janice, I was starting at the wrong end of the road. It looks like the house is still there as you say, I have circled it on the 1948 image.

This is a useful reference for all of the gas works in Birmingham. The one located in Adderley Street was only 1.2 miles from Larches Street but it appears that it closed in 1940. It would seem most likely to be Windsor Street or Saltley gas works which were operational until 1974, Windsor...
