The concentration of businesses in that area was incredible, I wonder how the postman managed to deliver to the correct premises.

Great image Lyn, it's also on the thread 'Winson Green / All Saints Asylum', posted by member Stars. I'd never viewed that thread before, there are a couple of canal images which are amazing.

    Rose Hill House Handsworth

This is the house in red (post #19) with the curved drive. William Creighton died in 1831 so nothing I can find on 1841 census.

    Rose Hill House Handsworth

Looking at the maps attached it appears that the original Rose Hill House was demolished when (or sometime before) Rose Hill Road was constructed. Could it be that the house shown in red adopted the name Rose Hill House?

I don't know what information you already have but here is a map and trade listing.

    Green Lane, Small Heath

Thanks Janice, I looked at the car and 'wrongly' assumed it was a 1940s image, I only checked up to 1949.

    Green Lane, Small Heath

This photo of Green Lane Picture House shows the beer retailer's shop from the previous post, it must have been taken at a later date as the roofs have been repaired. I can find no reference to Pinnick Radio and Television repairs.
