    Gravelly Hill - Slade Road / The Slade

    I painted a water colour of Slade Rd recently when the trams were still running and before they built the tunnel under the railway bank, first left under the tunnel was Hillside Road were we lived from 1962 till 1987. The trams stopped running about 1951 before we moved there. Eric

    Worst car of the 1960's

    MY first car which I bought in 1959 was a 2 year old Austin A40 Farina which I had for five years, sadly rust was it's undoing, not uncommon in those days. Rust does not seem to be such a problem now. Eric

    Yes Lyn, have no problem answering pm's, just cannot start one, as soon as I start the text or type in the subject the recipients name disappears. Guess I will have to live with it. Eric
