    Covid vaccination process

A little embarrassing...We have no vaccine available so we have to take advantage of the system put in place to ensure that poor countries have access to the vaccine. I kid you not...https://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-55932997 Dave Ahttps://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-55932997

    Rolph A J

Tool room hardener...since I'm a tool & diemaker, known in the UK as a toolmaker. I can offer some assistance. The reference is probably to the hardening of steels used to produce products in a multitude of industries. Here in Canada and the US, most toolrooms do not do the hardening process in...

    Covid vaccination process

I have the Flu shot every year at the start of winter which is perceived as the start of Flu season, so far it's been very successful. Apparently there is no Covid season so similarities are not valid in regard to both virus's. I do understand the vaccine process, but my point is that the...

    Covid vaccination process

So, it begs the question, is this ever going to end? It appears to me that you are saying that the vaccine is only good for not getting ill with Covid, not immune to getting it or passing it on? Dave A

    Covid vaccination process

No bedlam here in Ontario Canada...no vaccine that's why! My wife and I are both over 80 and there is no sign of getting the jab. We are not in any of the top groups designated as vulnerable. Very disorganized considering that Canada was second to the UK in approving vaccines. Federal prisoners...

The Palladium Cinema Hockley Picture House

A sorry state...but what I remember of the Palladium was that it was one of the hardest cinemas to "bunk into". Dave A

    Transport Companies in Birmingham.

I was only 8 years old when "nationalism" was established in Britain, so I have very little to offer regarding Gupwell's transport. I know that my father drove for them prior to becoming BRS, because it became a big topic of conversation that I quickly became aware of. My dad was a very...

    CHRISTMAS 2020

A little Christmas confusion...yes it is my home in Canada. We've had another 10 cm since those pictures were taken. I'm not usually around at this time of the year so it's quite unfamiliar. The kids are loving it! Dave A

    Richards Of Aston Pork Butchers

I have now, what are bad memories of the pigs arriving at Richards...they had a pen in Aston Brook St, where they were kept until ready for slaughter. As they were coming down the ramp from the lorry, me & all my mates would be whacking them with sticks to make them squeal. I am a vegetarian for...

    Coldstream Guards

Jack Astley...He joined up before we left Brum, so that would have been pre 1956. Our dad was livid that he joined the "footsloggers". Apparently the recruiting officer was very convincing...the fact my brother was 6'tall, he was perfect for the guards. He is still alive and coming up to 83...
