    after some detective work I have now found the answer it's Rookery Road Handsworth the place next door is Archers builder and plumbers Life long Pens are made by Collins of Rookery road Jewellers caption to be changed to Rookery Road

    you where right Astoness as you said Rocky Lane there is a similar photograph but it as Hercules where it says Dunlop my father worked at Dunlop Aston as a rubber worker the frontage is only a small part of the factory it took up quite a bit of that block

    The railway line is passing over the A47 Saltley Road the junction could be Goodrick street on that junction is the Station inn not conclusive but the railway gives a good indication
