    Ann...I dont think there was a crash ....according to this snippet ..it simply ran off the runway....and the reg no was different , unless there was more than one incident. Don Everall operated a Jersey Service from Birmingham Elmdon airport in the fifties first of all using De Havilland...

    Tile cross infant and junior school tile cross road tile cross birmingham b33 closed in 1977 i think.....lovely school ....went there from 69 until 75......wish i had some pics of it... Edit. School was demolished in 1977 see link to Tile Hill J & I School thread here...
