    Moseley Kings Heath Line

Problems with that suggestion: 1. the station is not at Camp Hill. 2. The schools are called King Edwards not Camp Hill School.

    Snow Hill Station

BIF arrivals at Snow Hill had to be bussed to the Fair. Arrivals at New Street could get a train to Castle Bromwich for the BIF.

    Chance Glass Factory

I don't know if I have mentioned this before but when I worked for Henry Hope & Sons in Smethwick in the early 1960s we constructed the steelwork for one of Chance's lighthouses and fitted it out for them before it was taken apart again and shipped abroad in order to test that everything fitted OK.

    Chance Glass Factory

I would probably have said that they were made in Smethwick

    Elmdon Airport Birmingham International Airport

I do not think that BOAC would have flown to Jersey as they were a long haul operator. Do you mean BEA?

    Moseley Kings Heath Line

We were also told that the line could not reopen until two new chords had been built so that the trains from this line could come into Moor Street station using the space for additional platforms in that station. This was because New Street was at capacity. Another story was that the line could...

There was also something from Andy Street on Facebook giving alternative names for the stations and asking people to choose.

Latest news: An article in The Business Desk about 4 weeks ago. So no it will not be finished in time for the Commonwealth Games. You could be thinking of the rebuild of University station and Perry Barr station. Contractor named for £61m Brum railway scheme CGI of Moseley railway station...

    Birmingham buses

If 1951 is not a confirmed date, It could be an official opening ceremony as Quinton Garage was opened in 1949. I would have thought that the Transport Committee in those days would have had about 16 members as a guess.

    Gun Trade Factories

Also Loveday St was in the Gun Quarter. If they were making parts for guns they would describe themselves as engineers rather than gunmakers.

    Ghost signs of Birmingham

This was the October 2008 view showing that the white was the background for the estate agents sign.

    Hagley Road

This is Hagley Road West. The Kings Head pub is off shot to the right. Your present day picture is facing the opposite direction. The bus shelter was on the edge of the modern photo roughly where you can see the pedestrian crossing. The present bus shelters are in the distance under the dark...

    Ghost signs of Birmingham

Post 1966 as the exchange has a numerical code. Although 021 (now 0121) was introduced people rarely used it within Birmingham.

    Scams: telephone, email, texts 2022

I have just reported an email from Amazon Prime. It looks absolutely genuine but I cannot believe that even a company as large as Amazon can advertise $253million in prizes. I do not have and do not want an Amazon Prime account.

    Navigation Street

Most of the crowd appear to be facing up the hill towards Victoria Square so I am thinking possibly VE Day 1945. Trams are going to have a problem getting through.

    Midland Red Bus Routes

The Midland Red FEDDs (Front Entrance Double Deckers) all pre WWII buses were common when I was little but by the time I went to Grammar School one would still occasionally turn up on my way to or from school.
