I too remember well Hiron's on Stockland Green, we had many plants from there. Can't remember the one on Wellington Road though although used to cyvle down there very often. Another bit of history bites the dust !!!

Havn't seen much bird activity for a few weeks until this last week. One fat pigeon has been enjoying the berries on the Cotoniasta. Two squirrels feasting on everything they can, and for the last two days had a young fox in the garden. Also the Robin graced us with his presence

Don't remind me Kat. We have a large Acer in the front garden as well as two smaller ones. the larger one is just turning red which means in about a month's time the leaves will be dropping and so will be filling up the large garden bin for the council to take away.

Totally agree with you Richard, The Sound of Music was a great film. We still remember taking Mom and dad to see it at the Gaumont in 1966. We still watch it every time it's on. we too might be considered "old fashioned" but who cares!!!

Bring back the stocks and I would be first in the queue with my box of tomatoes !!!

Hi Alison, Don't in anyway try to put the pipe back into the wall!! If someone else moves into the house after you and doesn't know the pipe is there they may very well come to drill the wall to fix something on it and drill into the pipe with dire consequences. As has been said it should be...

My thoughts and prayers are with Carolina and Eileen at this sad and difficult time. We have lost so many of our friends and family over the past few months bringing the lesson home that we have to be thankful for every day we are given
