    19381 means he is the 19,381st record in the register. G 10120 is the Grave number - area on Pittsford St, next area down from Section H which borders Pittsford St & Vyse St. Very few gravestones in the area

    all the odd n umbers were on one side of the St, Even numbers over the road We lived at 79, we had friends at 69 which was the next "block" along towards Great King St. 61 may have been the end house of their block? I vaguely recall a factory with big blank end wall being at the end of their block.

    Sadly they should have cancelled it and all sport 15 months ago. However the haves must still have their little pleasures and make more money - the have nots continue to struggle on. Lose the flyover, block up Scott arms with "Bus lane" work - we know they do not work - been there done it...

    And how is that supposed to help people get about? Walk down to Witton or catch the bus? Used the station a lot when I lived in Birchfield - once you stop using it and find a differant way you rarely come back !

In April 1966 the only ones left in the 2 cpomplete blocks - New John St/ Guest Dt, Gt King DSt / Little king st, Bridge St West were 79 & 81 stiloccupied and 75 & 83 hald demolished - the entire area looked like the remins of Hiroshima.     As you are over 12 months apart - must be differant years, although he fits with my sister Jun 52. I think she must be 2 years above me & you 1 year above me? I left 66 just aged 11 - a lifetime ago now!

    Must be early 1964. Sep 64-apr 65 I was in Mr Williams class in the Annex. 65-66 I was back at Farm St with Mr Berry. I thpught my sister was a couple of years ahead of me, so would assume 63-4 at latest?

    Sent this to my sister Annette Southwell - thought it looked like her - front left wearing Alice Band. She has just confirmed it is her. She was born June 1952 - so very early 1960's or even late 1950's ???. I never saw a photographer whist I was there!

    It should have the age that was given by the informant - sometimes guessed wrong. Address is usually the address they died at - sometime Hospital or Workhouse, quite often just a street name It should also have the name of the person who bought the grave - usually next of kin

    That is one the former entrnces now sealed off - stonework is all new as is the stonework along the wall where the railing are fitted (top bit only bottom original)

    Great - I can see my old house - between the L & I of Little backing on to Bridge St west - 1st house, 3rd block from Guest st end!
