    Birmingham?

This is an aerial view of Hawkes Street from 1937. The building shown is a possible contender but unfortunately insufficient detail.

    Birmingham?

We had a similar query a few months ago for an unknown location, that also had a building with a similar pattern of skylights. That location was never pinned down, hopefully we’ll have better luck with this one.

    Birmingham?

I also thought it was a railway bridge but I am now convinced that it is a roof of a factory, the pattern is formed by the skylights in the roof.

    Small Heath

I agree, the perspective of the houses (particularly on the left hand side), is spot on. A remarkable bit of detective work MickyMoo.

    Unknown Locations

At the risk of starting another "No. 8 bus location" thread, I have always been intrigued by the location of this Bill Dargue photo titled "an alley near Aston Cross". After a bit of map checking involving the width of the alley and the angle of the houses in the distance I would like to suggest...

    Temple Street

My Gt-Gt-Grandfather had premises (rented I imagine) at No. 23 Temple Street, I always wanted to know what this shop would have looked like. This was in 1852 so very unlikely there would be a photograph in existence, I found this drawing on the odd fellows hall thread, the Mudie shop on the...

    Victoria Hotel

In the 1930s the landlord was Ernest Albert Pitt, I don't know if that's of any help.
