    Hall Green Schools

There is a path to Hall Green (Secondary) School round the back from Stonerwood Avenue (off Petersfield Road). The path carries on around to the railway bridge. I might have used it in the 1990s, but mainly used Southam Road via Cole Bank Road. I remember various extension buildings going up...

    Hall Green Schools

Thanks. The Junior School is still in the old Victorian building on the Stratford Road opposite the Friends Meeting House. I used to go to Hall Green School (the secondary school) off Southam Road from 1994-99. Got some pics last week on another walk. You have to cross this railway bridge.

    Art Deco buildings

Thanks Viv. Don't usually walk past it, but I'm not likely to get a bus past it any time soon, also the trees would be in the way. The Horseshoe pub further up has closed down, and there is all these new green metal fences with guard dog security. Was a van and a tent in the pubs car park.

    Art Deco buildings

Did a small lockdown walk along a bit of the Stratford Road this evening, and got a photo of Petersfield Court in the sunshine on my smartphone camera.

I wont be able to get back to the city centre until lockdown ends. Only people living in the city centre would be able to get photo updates. It's Your Build from Birmingham We Are would have updates.

    Hall Green Schools

On my daily walk I headed up Pitmaston Road at lunchtime and went past Robin Hood Academy (it's a Primary School). On this building it says "C.B.E.C. Erected 1931-2". Another school building to the back.

    Hall Green Dog Track

It's between Fox Hollies Road and the railway line (which is between Hall Green and Spring Road Station). Cateswell Road is halfway between (towards the Stratford Road).

    Hall Green Dog Track

In 2020 this is all now gone replaced by Linden Homes on York Road, Hall Green. Saw them on my daily walk / exercise permitted by the Government. There is also double yellow lines on the road. Not all of it is finished.

    Congreve Street

I think some more squares are being planned by Paradise Birmingham. The Copthorne Hotel was supposed to get demolished in the next few years. Congreve Passage was closed around 5 years ago. In 2016 was barriers from Chamberlain Square near the Council House extension.

    Congreve Street

Not sure but they were going to open a new car park around here before the lockdown came into affect. The City Centre is probably deserted now.

    Congreve Street

Congreve Street / Passage taken before lockdown. Through a gate at Paradise Circus. And one month before. Might be a long while before it is safe enough to travel back into the City Centre.
